Double Glazing Windows
Insulating Glass have been installing double glazing across Dublin and beyond for years. Double glazing is one of the most popular types of windows on the market, due to the fact that it is energy efficient and offers value for money. Older glass can be the cause of up to 25% heat loss. This can have a drastic effect on your heating bill. As the name would suggest, double glazing consists of two panes of glass, with a spacer between each.
The air between the panes is what helps to make it so energy efficient. The air creates a barrier between the inside (warmer) pane and the outer (cooler) pane. Air is a very poor conductor, so heat cannot flow in the normal way, i.e. from hot to cold.
