Low-E Glass

Low-e glass is glass that has a special coating applied to it. This coating is what allows light to enter the building, whilst also containing the heat within. This type of glass was specifically developed in order to improve energy efficiency. Older windows, including double and even triple glazed glass cannot match the energy efficiency of low-e glass. Low-e glass can be used in windows, doors, conservatories etc.
This coating does not prevent light from entering the building; in fact it is practically invisible to the naked eye.
